    Vietnam highlight trip for those who only have short time to travel but would like to visit as much as possible. This trip take you from Hanoi, the capital city to the heritages sites of Halong Bay, Hue and Hoian then end up in Ho Chi Minh city.

     Day 1: Hanoi arrival (30 km – 45 minutes)

    Your holiday starts as we meet you at Noi Bai airport then you are taken directly to your hotel.

     Day 2: Hanoi city tour (50 km – 8 hours)

    Breakfast: Breakfast at hotel

    Start your city tour with a visit to Ho Chi Minh Complex which includes the mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace and House on stills. Then the trip continues with 2 iconic landmark of Hanoi: One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature. Later, you enjoy a walk around Hoan Kiem Lake before take a cyclo tour through the Old quarter. Trip ends with a traditional performance of Water puppets.

     Day 3: Hanoi – Halong Bay (150 km – 3.5 hours)

    Lunch & Dinner: Included on board

    Travel about four hours to reach the port of Halong Bay. Called “Bay of Descending Dragons” in Vietnamese, the archipelago of Halong Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage Site composed of almost 2,000 islands and jungle clad limestone pillars. Hop onboard a traditional junk and over lunch cruise to a secluded corner of the marine park. Spend the next few hours visiting ancient limestone caves and paddling around on sea kayaks.

     Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi – Hue (150 km – 3.5 hours)

    Breakfast: Brunch served on board

    Rise early for a lesson in Tai Chi or just to enjoy a hearty breakfast. The boat will make its way back to the port stopping at the Cave of Surprises, full of stalagmites and stalactites. From here, it’s clear sailing back to the main harbour and the return drive to Hanoi and the airport for your onward flight to Hue.

     Day 5: Hue (70 km – 8 hours)

    The former imperial capital of Hue, was once the seat of power for the ruling Nguyen Dynasty. The city is brimming with history, culture and ancient temples. Spend the day exploring the Imperial Citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and King Minh Mang & King Tu Duc Tombs, before taking a cruise on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu pagoda.

     Day 6: Hue – Hoi An (150 km – 4 hours)

    Take a drive along the scenic Hai Van Pass towards ancient port town of Hoi An. This UNESCO recognized town has been artfully restored to its former glory and its quaint architecture makes the perfect picture postcard. This afternoon take a guided walking tour of the charming town to discover a preserved pagoda, assembly hall and beautiful covered bridge – living links to Hoi An’s ancient past.

     Day 7: Hoi An – Ho Chi Minh (850 km – 1 hours 15 minutes by flight)

    Fly to Ho Chi Minh City and spend the afternoon on a guided walk.  Discover the story of Saigon and hear about the history of the city from the days of French colonial rule to the tragedy of the Vietnam War. You’ll visit key locations such as the Central Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral and the War Remnants Museum before ending your day with a cup of coffee on sidewalk café.

     Day 8: Cu Chi tunnels – Tay Ninh temple (240 km – 7 hours)

    Drive out the city center to visit Cu Chi tunnels, an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels contain hospitals, accommodation and school and were used as a military base for Viet Cong during American war. Then you are transfer to the headquarters of Cao Dai religious sect located in Tay Ninh. It is an unusual religion with an eclectic mix of different saints from different religions and has Victor Hugo and Charlie Chaplin as patron saints.

     Day 9: Mekong delta – Ben Tre (200 km – 6 hours)

    Travel about two hours south of Ho Chi Minh City to Ben Tre, the gateway to the Mekong Delta. Hop aboard a small boat and explore the waterways stopping off at brickwork to see how to make bricks at handy traditional style. Visit a small home-based factory where workers process coconuts to be used in products like matting and candy. Then take a “Xe loi” on shady paths, pass by green rice fields and vegetable to see how daily life going on here. Take a rowing-boat along water palm creek to the port for disembark and return to Ho Chi Minh City.

     Day 10: Ho Chi Minh – Departure (15 km – 30 minutes)

    Spend your last moments picking up souvenirs at the local market before transferring to the airport for your onward flight.
