    DAY 1
    Arrival in Bucharest on Henri Coanda airport.  Meet your guide and transfer to the hotel, in the city centre.
    Once called “Little Paris”, Bucharest is now a mixture of architectural jewelries from the golden times between the two world wars and the deep marks left by the 50 years of communism, a very cosmopolite city with a trepidant nightlife and a facinating atmosphere during the day.

    DAY 2
    We depart towards Transylvania region – the land that inspired Bram Stoker’s novel “Dracula”, following the popular Prahova valley and passing through some of the most famous mountain resorts in Romania: Sinaia, Busteni, Azuga, Predeal.  We stop in Sinaia to visit Peles Castle. The palace was built by the king Carol I of Romania in the 19th century, as his summer residence and it is a fantastical mixture of German neo-Renaissance and neo-Gothic architecture.
    We continue to Bran village – visit the spectacular Bran Castle, also known as Dracula’s Castle, a beautiful 14th century castle, restored in the 19th century to its former glory by the royal family of Romania.
    We transfer to Brasov – one of Transylvania’s major cities.  Also known as Kronstadt due to the presence of German colonists as early as the 12th century, fringed by the peaks of the Southern Carpathian Mountains and resplendent with Gothic, Baroque and Renaissance architecture, as well as a wealth of historical attractions, Brasov is one of the most visited places in Romania.  City tour.
    Overnight in Brasov in a hotel located in a medieval building situated in the main square of the city.

    DAY 3
    In the morning we transfer to Viscri village (Deutschweisskirch).  This is a Saxon village included in UNESCO heritage list, one of the villages in Romania where the Prince of Wales owns a traditional Romanian house.
    We take a ride in horse pulled carriages around the village, visit the village fortified church and have lunch prepared by the locals, acompanied by homemade brandy and wine.
    In the afternoon we continue to Sighisoara – a medieval citadel included in the UNESCO heritage list, inhabited continuously ever since its settlement by the German colonists.  Tour of the citadel, including the house where Vlad Tepes – Vlad the Impaler (the Romanian ruler, who inspired Bram Stoker’s character, Dracula) was born.
    We then continue to Sibiu
    Accommodation in a hotel in the city centre.

    DAY 4
    Sibiu was the European Capital of Culture in 2007.  With a vast beautifully restored medieval center, and a vibrant cultural life, it houses one of the first museums open in the Central and Eastern Europe – Brukenthal Museum and the lagerst entnographic open-air museum – ASTRA.
    City tour and then free time to wonder around or visit one of the Sibiu museums.

    In the afternoon we transfer to Bucharest
    Accommodation in a hotel in the city centre.

    DAY 5
    Depending on the flight schedule, free time for shopping or wondering around in the city. Transfer to the airport.
