    10 Nights - 11 Days - Bali Island

    Day 1 - Bali - Sanur Arrival

    Arrive this afternoon at Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar where you will be greeted by your local Exo Travel guide and driver for your private transfer to Sanur.

    After checking in to your hotel, there is time to relax, freshen up or do a bit of exploring on your own.

    Dinner at leisure.

    Day 2 - Jewelry making workshop - Uluwatu Kecak Dance - Jimbaran Seafood (B,L,D)

    This morning after a late breakfast you are picked up by the driver and tour guide for the short transfer to the Jewelry studio where you will learn how to make your own silver jewels.

    We start with a short video which shows: Jewelry through the ages. Next some info on health and safety practices before you get thought how to make jewels and start with the creation of your own unique design (5 grams of silver per person included) with the help of course of two professional jewelry makers.

    A simple lunch is served in the studio.

    You are finished with making your own jewel in the afternoon after which the driver and tour guide will pick you up for the drive to Uluwatu where we visit this beautiful temple in the south of Bali with a big sacred monkey population and which is set on steep cliffs overlooking the Indian ocean. Here we will first enjoy the sunset followed by a kecak dance. This “fire” dance certainly is the most spectacular of all Balinese dances.

    Following this spectacular afternoon we go to Jimbaran where you will enjoy a scrumptious seafood dinner on the beach.

    Day 3 - Cruise to Nusa Lembongan with Bali Hai Cruises (B,L)

    This morning, you will be picked up from your hotel around 07:00 and transfer (join in transfer) to Benoa Harbor.

    Arrive at the harbor where your boat awaits and you’ll depart for this fun day trip to Nusa Lembongan (1,5h).

    On the way to the island you’ll be served light snacks and beverages. You’ll arrive on Nusa Lembongan, an island oasis of white beaches and clear waters. The day is yours to spend as you wish. For water-sports lovers there are activities such as snorkeling and a glass-bottom boat ride for reef viewing. Also a ‘mangrove tour’ with a small boat is an option. You can bring a visit to the island’s village for a glimpse into the local lifestyles and see an underground house (actually dug out by hand) or visit the seaweed farm.

    There is also the option of simply relaxing on the beach in the sun or shade along the shoreline or in the pool at the beach club.

    A barbecue buffet lunch will be served midday with complementary wine and beer.

    Around 16:00 the boat will depart for the journey back to Benoa harbor. Light snacks and drinks will be served onboard. When reaching the shore, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
    Note: We recommend wearing shorts and swimming gear, towel, sunglasses, hat and sunscreen. Bring a change of clothes for after the activities. Shower and toilet are available.

    Day 4 - Sanur - Kintamani - Tampak Siring - Gunung Kawi - Ubud (B,L)

    Today after breakfast and check out you are picked up by the driver and tour guide for some interesting sightseeing after which you are dropped off at your hotel in Ubud.

    We first drive to Kintamani at Lake Batur, the route to Batur leads via small scenic roads offering amazing panoramas over the beautiful rice fields and landscapes, around 2.5 hours from Sanur.

    Arrive at Kintamani, a volcanic region where the still active Mt Batur is standing with its breathtaking views. Adjacent to the volcano is the large crescent-shaped Batur Lake, all surrounded by the high walls of the crater rim.

    Stop for a buffet lunch at a local restaurant with all-encompassing views over Lake Batur.

    On the way to Ubud we also make a stop at Tirta Empul temple with its sacred cleansing springs. Continue to a plantation in Tampak Siring and visit the unique temple of Gunung Kawi. Set amidst lush rice terraces, these 11th century temples feature 10 rock-cut candi (shrines) carved into the cliff face. They stand at 7-metre-high and combine ancient Hindu and Buddhist temple attributes. There are numerous stairs leading down to the Temple.

    Day 5 - Rafting at Ayung River - Ubud (B,L)

    After breakfast at your hotel this morning you are picked up (join in transfer) for today’s activity at Ayung River.

    Upon arrival at the starting point you will be greeted by the rafting guides who will give you a helmet, lifejacket and paddles. The guides will then provide a safety briefing and also explain and demonstrate paddling techniques. A ‘dry bag’ will be provided to protect your valuables and dry clothes.

    Then it’s time to start paddling! (max. 4 passengers + 1 guide per raft) You will cover 10 kilometers on the Ayung River over approximately 1 hour 30 minutes. The trip is divided into two parts with a rest stop on the riverbanks at the halfway point.

    Along the way you will be surrounded by spectacular trees, forests and towering cliffs. You will pass waterfalls, possibly see wild monkeys, rare birds, a farmer washing his cow in the river.

    Reaching the take out point, you will be treated to a late buffet Indonesian lunch in a restaurant with stunning views of the river and surrounding hills. There are showers, towels and toilet facilities available.

    Note: This rafting is a soft rafting (level 2-3) and is possible for children starting from 5 years and older. We recommend wearing shorts and swimming gear, hat and sunscreen. Bring a change of clothes for after the rafting.

    Return to your hotel after lunch.

    Overnight in Ubud.

     Day 6 - Ubud - Bali Countryside ? Amed (B,L)

    This morning after breakfast and check out we start with the “Balinese daily life” program for you to discover. When we arrive in the village you are introduced to the local Balinese and are given a conical hat and a bamboo stick. This comes in handy on your 1h walk through rice fields which you will do next. Next it is time to explore your skills as a Balinese farmer, try ploughing with cows; planting rice... after this hard work you are served a fresh coconut with its juice.

    Now we do 3 short workshops, 20 min. each activities of cooking lesson, offering and palm-leaf decoration, arak distillation and iron working.

    A true Balinese lunch is served in the village.

    We drive away from here and bring a visit to Tirta Gangga. Meaning 'water of the Ganges' this sacred water palace was built in the early twentieth century by the last king of Karangasem. It boasts many decorative ponds and fountains, lush plant life and natural bathing pools.

    Continue to Amed, a quiet seaside village that offers fishing, snorkeling and diving on the nearby reef on a black rocky beach. Make a stop en route in a traditional salt mining farm.

     Day 7 - Amed - Snorkeling - Seraya Peninsula - Taman Ujung - Candidasa (B)

    This morning after a leisurely breakfast you will embark a traditional perahu motorized boat and embark for a snorkeling trip off the coast of Amed to explore these calm waters and observe very colorful tropical fish swim by.

    Rest of the morning and lunch at leisure in Amed.

    In the early afternoon depart with your guide and driver for an unforgettable drive along the most spectacular of all roads on Bali. You will follow a narrow road with on one side the majestic shape of Mt Seraya volcano (1 238m) and the driest landscapes of all Bali and on the other side impressive cliffs overlooking the clear blue sea with lot of curves where small creeks that seem almost impossible to access appear where one can observe from far thousands of local perahu, the traditional boats used by the fishermen of East Bali.

    This 2 hour drive around Seraya peninsula (only accessible to small vehicles) is passing by unspoiled Balinese villages and will bring you to Ujung water palace located on The South Eastern coast of Bali near Amlapura.

    Visit Taman Ujung Water Palace which was originally built in 1919. The 1963 explosion of Mount Agung destroyed most of the palace however and it has since been painstakingly reconstructed to its former glory.

    Continue for a short drive to the coastal town of Candidasa

    Check in at the hotel late in the afternoon.

     Day 8 - Candidasa - Tenganan - Goa Lawa - Kerta Gosa - Seminyak (B)

    After breakfast you’ll explore Tenganan. The village is home to the Bali Aga people, Bali’s first inhabitants before the arrival of the Majapahit dynasty people who came from Java. You’ll see the village’s unique architecture as well as observe the weaving of the ikat pattern and traditional basket weaving.

    Return to your hotel and rest of the morning and lunch at leisure.

    In the afternoon, leave Candidasa and depart along the South Eastern coast to Klungkung. On the way make a stop at Goa Lawa to visit the sacred bat caves one of Bali most sacred temple and which is said to have an underground connection with Besakih temple.

    Upon Arrival in Klungkung visit the former Royal Courts of Justice known as Kertagosa. The highlight here is an elaborately decorated ceiling featuring the Wayang style of painting depicting the battle of good versus evil.

    Afterwards transfer to your selected hotel in Seminyak.

     Day 9 - Family Surfing Lesson in Kuta Beach

    You will be picked up from your hotel around 08.30 and transferred to Kuta Beach (join in transfer).

    The personal instructor will welcome you and give you the protective (to protect against sunburn) clothing to wear and provide a safety briefing first. After this the teacher will demonstrate and explain some techniques. The well trained instructors will show and teach you the basics of surfing, how to balance, how to paddle, etc first in a pool and after, once you have an understanding of the basic skills of surfing, the instructors will take you to the beach and try out some of the surfing techniques in the ocean.

    The entire session lasts about 2.5 hours and is fully accompanied by an instructor.

    There is 2 hours free time after your session to wander the Kuta area before returning to your hotel.

     Day 10 - Seminyak - Pasifica - Devdan show - Bumbu Bali Dinner (B,D)

    Enjoy morning at leisure.

    This afternoon you are picked up from your hotel by the tour guide and driver for today’s visits. We start in Nusa Dua where we go visit the Museum Pasifica which is, still for many, an undiscovered gem. A vast collection of paintings, sculptures and artefacts of renowned artists are on display in this excellent setting.

    When you have taken enough time to view all the displayed works of art we take you to a nearby beach front restaurant to enjoy a nice afternoon cocktail with a light snack while watching the day come to an end. Selection of fresh juice also available for kids to enjoy.

    Afterwards we walk the short distance to Devdan theatre where we watch Bali’s most spectacular dance show, Devdan – treasure of the archipelago - is a high-energy visual tour of Indonesia's culture and diversity. This show features a fusion of traditional Indonesian dance activities with modern contemporary dance, world-class aerial acrobatic attractions, dazzling costumes and hi-tech special effects. During the 90-minute performance, the audience is taken on a magical whirlwind tour of the Indonesian Archipelago from Bali to Sumatra, Java, Borneo and Papua with an extensive array of special effects, acrobatics and Traditional dance.

    After the show, around 8.30, we bring you nearby to one of Bali’s best known restaurants, Bumbu Bali, where a rijstaffel dinner is served. This set menu, which comes from Dutch colonial times, offers a wide variety of many typical Indonesian dishes and will give you a taste of all the different specialties on the different islands you just watched in the show.
